Finding an Alger County booking photo or recent arrest means knowing which public office holds the record. The county does not offer an online jail roster or booking feed, so phone, written FOIA, and court routes matter. This private reference site brings those official paths and contacts together. It does not host a mugshot gallery or store government records.

Why This Guide Exists

Michigan law makes many government records available, but access depends on the record holder and applicable exemptions. The Alger County Sheriff’s Office creates jail booking records and any associated intake photograph. Because it publishes no public roster or photo search, a focused county FOIA request may be needed. The 93rd District Court and MiCOURT provide later case context, while the Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS system covers state prisoners and people under MDOC supervision rather than county jail bookings. This site organizes those source distinctions, lookup steps, and request routes in one place. It does not republish booking photographs.
